Show Day in Sayreville, NJ

Awakened by Steve tossing me around in my bunk around 7am as he travels along Route 18 on the way to Sayreville. Today's show is at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville. It's a club gig, albeit a 2500 capacity club gig.

Can you say 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag? That's what the stage is like today. I can't believe our crew managed to put so much of our gear in here. We're doing a 3 truck, 3 bus tour (our stuff), plus there are 3 support acts (each with their own bus and trailer), and we have a 24-foot truck for our merch. So it's pretty much a full-on arena tour jammed into a club. The side of the stage looks like a music store:

Jon Bon Jovi is from – Sayreville. Still lives somewhere nearby. Bon Jovi's keyboard player, David Bryan, brought his kids to the show. I spoke with him briefly afterwards. A good buddy of mine has been Bon Jovi's head of security for the last 3 years, so that's mostly what we talked about…
