Show Day in Lowell

Good building, good catering, good staff. We're at the Paul Tsongas Arena here in Lowell, MA. With the exception of the GM, who had his teenage daughters roaming the backstage area all afternoon, stalking the band guys. Moron. Our security guy Marcel put an end to that.

Brent, our monitor engineer, has taken over as bus mom on my bus. Meaning that he oversees what food and drink items are ordered and stocked onto the bus every day, and what food is purchased for after the show. He's a big fan of gourmet, snacky stuff, so starting tonight we'll be dining after load-out on cool stuff such as gourmet cheeses, breads, crackers, olives, tapenade, hummus and more. He's usually the first guy to the bus as the load-out progresses, and is happy to play "Iron Chef" and prep a killer spread for the rest of us.

And I'm sooo glad he does that…
