It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's...

No, actually, it's a tire. And it's up in a tree, about 30-32 feet above the greenway. Which puts it about 40-some-odd feet above Crabtree Creek on a normal day. Now, there ain't no way in hell that the creek has ever flooded high enough for this to have floated up there, not even back on September 6, 1996, when Hurricane Fran clobbered Raleigh.

So how the heck did it get there?
